VOCIC's electric bath lift chair is Mandy's first choice for her RA patients

One of my patients, Marina, is a 65-year-old woman from Kentucky who has been living alone since the death of her husband. Marina struggles with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a condition characterized by unpredictable ups and downs. Some days her joints feel relatively fine, while other days she experiences swelling and pain that make simple tasks like getting out of bed a challenge.

Marina relies on my regular visits to provide her with important services such as health checks and psychological counseling, and to accompany her to doctor's appointments. In November last year, Marina had a minor accident with her leg while out walking. Although it was not serious, her doctor prescribed rest at home and regular check-ups.

During this time, Marina was confined to her bed. I continued to visit her regularly and help her with daily activities and rehabilitation exercises. However, bathing became a source of hardship for us. Previously, I could help Marina into the bathtub where she could bathe independently. Now it was even difficult for Marina to move herself.

Due to my limited strength, it was no longer possible to carry Marina, who also suffers from obesity, to the bathroom. Therefore, I could only help with daily wiping, which Marina found unpleasant. Marina suffered from itching, especially at night, which was made worse by the rheumatoid arthritis, so that she could hardly sleep. Concerned about Marina's general well-being, I decided to find a solution.

At first I considered the idea of hiring another caregiver, but she immediately rejected the idea. Marina felt uncomfortable around strangers, especially during intimate activities such as bathing, which forced me to think about alternatives.

My final consideration was the bath lift. After comparing several options on the market, I chose the VOCIC Electric Bath Lift Chair because of its weight and user-friendly design. It is much lighter than the first one we purchased and others offered on Amazon.

Contrary to my expectations, the electric bath chair with lift function was very easy to install and use. Attaching the backrest to the seat, charging it and waiting for a full charge were the only steps required for normal operation.

To be safe, I tested the chair after charging it. I aligned the chair's six non-slip pads in the bathtub and slowly lowered it to ensure a secure grip. After being sure of its stability, I sat on the chair and operated the remote control. With only three buttons, operating the side was easy. I pressed the down button and the chair took me to the bottom of the tub to take a soak. With the "up" button, the chair lifted me out of the tub. I adjusted to the desired height and pressed the pause button. The whole process was simple and stable.

After being assured of the product's safety, I took Marina to the bathroom with a walker and explained how to use the chair. After watching, Marina was keen to try it out for herself.

When she entered the tub, she was nervous at first and instinctively grabbed the edge of the chair. I reassured her, "Don't worry, it's very stable, with six suction cups at the bottom." Relieved, Marina slowly sat down on the chair. Then she picked up the controller, pressed the down button, and the chair began to move slowly. In her nervousness, Marina instinctively held on to the chair. Reassuringly, the chair lowered her safely to the bottom of the tub. "Oh, this electric bathtub lift chair is really very stable," she exclaimed. Marina was finally able to enjoy the joy of bathing independently and experience an intense bath like she hadn't experienced since her fall. After the bath, I wiped the VOCIC electric bath lift chair with a dry towel and put it in a relatively dry place in the bathroom. It doesn't take up much space. Marina's skin no longer itched after the bath, and she slept better at night. Over time, she got used to using the bath chair because it is comfortable and calms her down.

The VOCIC electric bath lift was used not only for bathing but also as a floor lift. During rehabilitation sessions, such as exercises for pain relief in arthritis or aerobic and resistance exercises. I found it useful to take Marina to the living room. To reach the living room, Marina was first placed on a transport chair with a walker. Once there, she was placed on the lift chair and by pressing the down button she was lowered to the carpet to create more space for rehabilitation.

This chair is not only suitable for seniors who are reluctant to bathe, but also for rehabilitation patients. It is a valuable aid for patients in rehabilitation training. If my patients have similar needs, I would recommend this VOCIC electric bath lift chair as an excellent choice.
